Disney Infinity – My First Toy Development Project
Disney Infinity was my introduction to toy development, where I was given significant autonomy and gained hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle. I learned the importance of cross-functional collaboration, especially when bridging physical and digital play. As the toys were interactive with the video game, our team quickly adapted to integrating RFID technology to ensure seamless in-game functionality.
My role included:
Developed and managed 300+ collectible character SKUs across multiple waves for Disney Infinity, overseeing sculpting, deco, and production to ensure brand alignment, quality standards, and seamless integration with in-game assets.
Collaborated with the design team on character stylization and sculpting.
Partnered with painters to develop hand-painted deco samples used for licensor approval and as master references for factories.
Ensured each toy integrated seamlessly with the video game platform, aligning character details with digital gameplayManaged licensor approvals, ensuring timely submissions and feedback tracking.
Reviewed production samples to uphold design intent and quality standards.
Created and maintained development and production timelines from concept to ship.
